Did you know there is an optimum time to drink your water?

Since our bodies are made up of 70% water, it goes without saying that water is crucial to our daily diet. It baffles me when I hear people say they don’t like water so they don’t drink it. What? It has no taste (or at least it shouldn’t) so what is there to like or not like? That’s like saying I don’t like oxygen, so I don’t breathe much. Sounds like I’m comparing apples to oranges, but I’m not. Water is just THAT important to achieve and sustain good health.

Did you know that water alone can cure migraines and chronic back pain? That’s right! Do your research. You’ll be surprised to find out just how DEhydrated your body stays. So forget those ads that say, “Got milk?” (Unless you want more cow pus in your body.) For optimum health, the real question should be, “Got water?”


Corn Salsa

This recipe is compliments of my beau, Chef Keidi’s, Living SuperFood Recipes book. Pg 32

Here’s what you need:
2 cups tomatoes, sliced
1 cup cilantro, chopped and packed
2/3 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 cup corn kernels, cut off the cob
1 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1 tbl habanero or jalapeno pepper, minced
1/4 cup Nama Shoyo or Tamari soy sauce (or 1 tsp celtic sea salt)


Here’s what you do:
Add all ingredients except the tomatoes and corn to a food processor and pulse to coarse consistency. Add tomatoes and corn and pulse until they are just slightly cut into the larger mix. Serve with organic blue corn chips, flax or corn crackers. Corn salsa can also be used in veggie wraps and tacos.
