I love me some watermelon! After a first-time sculpture of a 60th birthday “cake” the other day, the creative bug was still in me and I had to go out and buy another watermelon to carve up. Here’s what it ended up looking like.
My inner artist spirit came out for a brief appearance the other day, as I created this 60th birthday cake for my gourmet raw food chef hubby guy. It sure was difficult getting that base even (as you can see, I never totally accomplished it), but oh well, not bad for this first time ever watermelon sculptor.

That was a first time attempt at it too. I’ll have to try it again next year when it’s the season for watermelon. I’ll experiment on more of them,too.
